The ultimate V.I.P Program for your female talent
The role as team manager, or HR professional, is to ensure the growth, happiness and retention of highly talented individuals in your organisation. At Open The Door Leadership we support you – the decision-maker - ensuring that the women in your company are given the tools with which to grown and shine their brightest.
Perhaps you’re a manager worried about talented women in your team who don’t recognise their own strengths and are holding themselves back. Do you know how to develop them into key players and help them understand that they are valued team members?
Or perhaps, as HR personnel, you are striving for more talent and diversity in the workplace. You are working with managers to promote more women – yet the female team members currently lack the attributes for greater success.
The truth is women do have what it takes to become highly effective leaders; some simply need the right training and mentoring to get them to the next level.
How do you empower high-potential women in your team who are struggling to expand? How can you attract more women to your company? How do you retain your current female talent list? How do you empower your female staff so they recognise their own strengths and potential?
You treat them like a V.I.P.
Our Open The Door Leadership V.I.P program is specifically designed for working women who have reached a plateau and are unsure where to go next. A 2015 article in McKinsey & Company stated that “More diverse companies, we believe, are better able to win top talent and improve their customer orientation, employee satisfaction, and decision making, and all that leads to a virtuous cycle of increasing returns.” It stands to reason that an empowered workforce means individuals who are happy in and out of the office – in turn providing you with a pool of enthusiastic, confident and strong women to grow your business further.
What is V.I.P?
Our female empowerment and leadership course focuses on three main topics:
Vulnerability, Influence and Power.
Vulnerability is often seen as a negative word – but we plan to change that. For creativity, connection and a sense of belonging in the workplace, one first needs to open up. Without the acceptance of vulnerability it’s impossible for any team member to develop further. Taking the next step requires risk taking and your employees exposing themselves to criticism, pushback and failure. Feeling vulnerable is something everyone tries to avoid, which is why we arm our participants with the necessary tools to improve their resilience and confidence. A strong team member means a strong business.
No woman should be expected to work alone, because a worthwhile project can include stakeholders, clients, managers and colleagues who also need to be engaged. We help your employees work better with others. How can a woman negotiate for herself without being perceived as harsh and aggressive? How can she create trust? How can your female employee inspire her team to follow her? How can she influence the next level above her and become more visible? Often women are ill-equipped to answer these questions – because what may work for male colleagues may not work for them. Women in business need a different approach…and they need it now.
Power at work needn’t mean aggression, being forceful or employees pushing themselves to the limit. An overflowing to-do list, burning the candle at both ends, and taking on more responsibility without support is a one-way ticket to burnout and has no long-term benefits for your company. True power means more autonomy, flexibility, taking a strategic view, and making an intentional impact. Through our V.I.P training we teach power as a tool, and demonstrate how it's the intention behind that power which determines its use. Power in the hands of compassionate, caring and collaborative women will transform your businesses and our world as we know it.
Our specifically designed Open The Door Leadership V.I.P program takes place outside of the office, for day a month over nine months, and is based in Amsterdam. Split into three phases – Building A Strong Self, Bringing Along Others and Playing Bigger - our training is face-to-face, as well as supplemented by online resources, homework and bi-weekly Q&A calls.
Investing in the women in your team, means investing in a business with the opportunity for growth. Open the door and watch your talent shine.
